Permanent Make-Up
How Long Is The Recovery Period?
Due to slight bleeding and/or bruising during the permanent makeup procedure and subsequent touch-up, you can expect some swelling and tenderness around the tattooed area for 1-2 days. This is followed by a scabbing and peeling process within the first week of recovery. During the first two weeks of the healing process, you should avoid exposing the treated areas to sunlight, as well as swimming. These activities may leach the pigment from your makeup. It is good practise to keep the tattooed area clean with soap and water, leave it exposed to air when possible, and apply a mild antibiotic cream to keep the area moist until healing is complete (usually 7-10 days).
Is It Painful?
This procedure does involve a certain amount of discomfort, although, most people do say that it is not as uncomfotable as they anticipated. Cosmetic tatooing feels more like a constant vibration than the poking pain of an injection, several factors influence how uncomfortablel the procedure could be, these are: Location - skin right about bones tends to be more painful than other areas. Individual pain threshold - your personal frame of mind is a big factor in pain and pain management. There are certain types of local anaesthetic that can be applied before and during this treatment to ease any discomfort.
